Green Hardwood

Comparison

Should I refinish my hardwood or replace it?

If a wear layer remains and the boards are flat and dry, refinishing wins: a dust-contained sand and a two-component waterborne finish costs a fraction of a new floor and keeps the original boards. Replacement is for floors sanded to the tongue, structurally wet, or failing across whole runs. We measure the wear layer and tell you which side of the line you are on — and we say so when a floor cannot be saved.
